Graeme (white/uke) has delivered a straight punch, Brian (blue/tori) has parried the punch and delivers a brachial stun using his ridge hand (haito) a lot of the time this would finish the confrontation, but what if it doesn't. (keep your mind working)

Brian then applies a technique similar to katagatame before dragging uke to the ground, this would normally be a finishing hold applied till uke passes out, but to widen your horizons and your technique base we will apply other techniques from this position for training and options

Uke after being dragged to the floor

In this picture Brian has released his left hand and grabbed uke's right wrist pulling down and into his neck

Here Brian fools uke into thinking that he is being sat up, allowing for him to trap uke's left arm with his leg before falling back into jujigatame

You can experiment with this to find your best position to lever the arm, in this picture Brian is opting to put his foot behind uke's neck, this puts a lot of pressure on uke's neck and helps to keep him where he to assists with the armlock.

In this picture Brian has changed the armlock for a wrist lock. There is no reason for this other than to practice different techniques from the one position to give you options. This is invaluable when your attempting something and it's not working 100% or your partner knows how to escape from the technique. It keeps the mind working and your options open.
